Training
Dr. Quigley has worked as a teacher throughout most of his career. As a University professor to Technical Service scientist in several companies, Jim has been teaching and training farm workers and managers, nutritionists, veterinarians, and other calf industry professionals, researchers, and government representatives.

As calf raising becomes more technical and more complex, staying abreast of developments is essential. It’s also critical for new professionals working in the industry to have a well-rounded background in the fundamentals of calf management. It’s a specialized industry and there’s no one as qualified to train your team than Dr. Quigley.

Jim has provided training to groups of 10 to 10,000 in meetings, conferences, and seminars all over the world. He has trained groups on the farm and in the boardroom. This photo is from a training day with a group of industry professionals in Argentina, when we explored the “pros and cons” of housing systems typical in South America.
Dr. Quigley can provide training to your Team in English or Spanish, and – of course – with your interpreter – in any other language. He has great experience working in different cultures and is sensitive to their traditions and requirements.
Training is suited to fit your needs. There’s one thing for sure – the training will not be forgotten. Jim works hard to make the information not only interesting and entertaining, but useable. Take home tools such as osmolality calculators or BRIX conversion tools are just a couple of examples of how training provided by Dr. Quigley is useful and useable.

Training is available in person or by video conference using Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or any other platform. Single training sessions can be provided for one specific topic, or multiple meetings as a training “course” are available, also. Want to teach your team about colostrum? Or calf management in general? Both options, and any combination in between are available.
Dr. Quigley takes great pride in providing training that is scientifically sound, relying on the latest publshed research (well referenced), so you can be confident that your training is current and reflects our combined knowledge of the topic at hand. Training sessions will – on request – be accompanied by a reference guide, study questions, and links for further training for those who wish to make a “deep dive” into a topic. For production training, example protocols are available for your review and adaptation to your farm circumstance.
